This car is the coolest!! You can actually direct your carraige around and capture images on your controller. It also hooks up to the TV to view the images. The video camera moves up and down to allow you to capture just the right thing. There are lights on the side of the car to give it a magical glow. We gave one as a birthday gift and it was a HUGE hit…. Works great. Does not record images….

Dalmatian Dog Breed Origins

The Dalmatian is one of the most widely recognized dog breeds in the world so it comes as a bit of a surprise that the origins of this most distinctive of dogs is still shrouded in mystery up to this day. One theory has it that the name Dalmatian was given to the dog breed by one Thomas Bewick in 1791. According to excerpts from “Anecdotes of Dogs” compiled by Edward Jesse, Thomas Bewick adamantly insists that the Dalmatian Dog hailed from a region called Dalmatia which today is to be found in Croatia. Adding weight to his claims is the fact that the Dalmatian Dog used to be called Dalmatinac.

However there appears to be evidence to refute Bewick’s claims. As far back as 3,700 BC, king Cheops (or Khufu) was known to have owned a spotted pet dog; the first spotted dog on record. More compelling evidence perhaps is a 1700 BC fresco from Tiryns that illustrates a boar hunt with black and liver spotted hounds which today can still be found in the National Archeological Museum s. In Greece, Crete and Egypt are to be found numerous ancient friezes and murals depicting spotted white hounds (with liver or black spots sometimes both). Around 400 BC a spotted Cretan Hound was commonly employed in hunting antelope. That hound was later crossed with the White Antelope Dog from ancient Egypt creating a distinctly colored hound that loved running alongside horses.

How The Dalmatian Dog Got Its Name

As to how the Dalmatian Dog came to be named as such is a whole new twist altogether in an already highly convoluted and controversial history. Strangely enough the origins of the Dalmatian name in many respects resembles the controversial manner with which the Labrador Retriever, a Canadian dog breed that originated from Newfoundland, came to be associated with England and subsequently called the “Labrador” by an Englishman.

As things stand today the Dalmatian dog is widely associated with England and in fact got its name from Thomas Beswick, yet another Englishman. Apparent association of the Dalmatian with the region that bears the same name did not occur until around 1930 when the Consul General of Monaco to Great Britain who also happened to be a member of the British Dalmatian Club, took a pair of Dalmatian dogs to Dalmatia as a present for his stepfather Bozo Banac. Bozo Banac had previously expressed an interest in breeding the dogs there.

There is actually good reason to believe that the name Dalmatian is in all likelihood a corruption of the term “Damachien”; a term by which the dogs were known at the time and which in English translated as Deer Hound (a mix of the Latin and French words “Dama” and “Chien” which respectively mean Deer and Dog).

The preeminent French Naturalist Buffon also dipped his toes in the fray and referred to the Dalmatian dog in his writings circa 1749-1767 as “Le Braque Bengale” (hound of Bengal) which he later modified to the Harrier of Bengal in 1790. Strangely enough though there is no compelling evidence to associate the Dalmatian with India.

Thus as is abundantly evident, despite its distinct appearance the Dalmatian is a dog breed whose precise origins have eluded historians the world over to this very day. And when all is said and done it does not seem unreasonable to conclude that the Dalmatian is one dog breed with a highly spotted past indeed!

The Multi-Purpose Dalmatian Dog

Over the course of its history, the Dalmatian dog has adorned many hats of occupation which include the following: retriever, birddog, ratter, war dog, shepherd etc. But it was as a coach dog in Victorian England that the Dalmatian found its true calling. As a coach dog the Dalmatian served both a practical and aesthetic function.

The practical purpose of the Dalmatian as coach dog was to ward off marauding dogs and any other animals from harming or disturbing the coach horses. As for the aesthetic aspect, well let’s just say it looked cool to have those spotted dogs trotting by the carriage and quite likely it was probably a mark of affluence to have such dogs accompanying one’s carriage.

From the 1880s the Dalmatian was selectively bred for its fondness and affinity to run beneath horse drawn carriages, the ideal dogs being those that ran close to the hooves of the rear horses. However with the rise in popularity of the automobile the Dalmatian lost its prominence in society though it continued as a coach dog for horse-drawn fire engines, a tradition that transitioned into the Dalmatian being adopted as the contemporary mascot for firehouses.

The Dalmatian dog breed was formerly recognized by the AKC in 1888 but due to intense selective breeding for its characteristic spotted pattern soon enough the breed was plagued by genetic urinary problems; namely a predisposition to uric acid stones (kidney stones). To correct this problem the Dalmatian dog breed was subsequently crossbred with various Pointer breeds!

History of a Fashion Icon: The Story of Gucci

A Modest Beginning

It’s hard to believe that such a prestigious international fashion icon had such humble beginnings! In 1906, Guccio Gucci started a small saddlery shop in Florence, Italy. Born into a family with a history of leather making, Guccio was a talented leather craftsman with an eye for European design flair.

Guccio started out designing leather horseman bags during the days of horse-drawn carriages. As the modes of transportation evolved, he eventually expanded his offerings to include premium leather luggage. It wasn’t until 1938 that the first Gucci retail shop opened its doors in Rome on the Via Condotti. Many of the original products sold at that first shop were handcrafted by Guccio himself.

Growth of a Fashion Legend

The universally recognizable leather Gucci bag with its bamboo handle was first introduced to the fashion world in 1947. Several years later, the brand’s distinctive red striped webbing became another of its hallmarks. The 1950s was a banner decade for the Gucci brand, during which Guccio developed many of the timeless classics that remain popular today. In addition to legendary handbags, he continued to craft luxury travel pieces, footwear, ties, and other accessories.

When founder Guccio Gucci died in 1953, his sons capitalized on his stellar reputation by opening stores in several prominent cities throughout the country, including Beverly Hills, Paris, Palm Beach, London, and Tokyo. Throughout the 1960s, the brand enjoyed celebrity-endorsed prominence as such notable figures as Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Peter Sellers, and Jackie Kennedy were seen wearing Gucci handbags and apparel. Rodolfo Gucci even designed the custom “Flora” foulard especially for Grace Kelly. The famous “GG” logo was developed to commemorate the memory of founded Guccio Gucci, and continues on as the company’s trademark today.

Turbulent Times

In spite of the fashion house’s prestigious image and international brand recognition, internal conflict and mismanagement threatened the company’s welfare. The Gucci family was notorious for their heated debates, clashing personalities, and rash business decisions. By the late 1970s, the fashion house was dangerously close to bankruptcy. One of the brothers, Maurizio Gucci, eventually sold the struggling business to Investcorp, a holding company, in 1993.

A New Beginning

It wasn’t until the 1990s, when Tom Ford was named Gucci’s new CEO, that the fashion house enjoyed a resurgence of its original popularity and prestige. Ford’s chic new collection in 1995, combined with the pop-culture appeal of celebrity endorsements by the likes of Madonna and Drew Barrymore, helped the brand regain its sense of exclusivity. Today, Gucci is a publicly traded company with a diverse array of designer Gucci handbags, luggage, wallets, sunglasses, apparel, colognes, and footwear, among other offerings.

Save Hundreds with High-Quality Replica Gucci Purses

Horse racing: Goodwood’s Profit Driver

Lord March’s parents got the house up and running they had a staff of 80 to host parties and they began to invest in the racecourse, deemed to be the “least risky” of Goodwood’s assets, building grandstands and boxes to cater to the corporate hospitality market. There has been horseracing at Goodwood since 1802 and the “Glorious Goodwood” event in late July is a firm fixture of the English summer social calendar. The investment paid off, and the racecourse turned a healthy profit.

In the 1994, while he was still in his 30s, Lord March moved into Goodwood House and took over the running of the estate having previously worked as a photographer. He has to juggle the need to make money with his ambition to maintain the estate in its entirety so that future generations of his family can live there. He also has to try and balance his desire to preserve a traditional English atmosphere with his need to modernize the business.

Glorious Goodwood Horseracing Hospitality

“Although the family and the history of the place is very important, it has to feel and look modern and exciting,” he says. “But I don’t want Goodwood to feel in any way commercial. I want visitors to feel like it’s someone’s home.”

Lord March often visited his grand parents on the estate during his childhood before he lived in Goodwood House himself. His love of cars stems from his grandfather, a keen racing driver who apprenticed on the shop floor at Bentley and was the inspiration for the first Festival of Speed held on the estate in 1993.

There had been racing at Goodwood’s motor circuit, adapted from a runway constructed for aircraft in World War II, since 1948. But it closed in 1966 because investment was needed to safely accommodate faster cars. Lord March was set on reviving the circuit, but because of difficulties in gaining planning permission he was forced to rethink.

His solution was the Festival of Speed, designed on the back of a packet of cigarettes, which took place on the grounds by Goodwood House rather than on the racetrack. Lord March tapped into his network of classic car-loving friends to stage a racing event with next to no capital outlay. He expected around 2,000 people to show up to watch but on the day 20,000 attended. Goodwood had a hit on its hands, and Lord March realized the estate had the potential to host themed events based on its sporting heritage.

Lord March says: “That was the breakthrough moment, and we have built on that goodwill and enthusiasm.” By 1997, visitor numbers had reached 150,000. After finally getting permission to restore the motor circuit in 1998, Lord March launched Goodwood Revival, an event featuring cars from the circuit’s heyday between 1948 and 1966 with all visitors dressed in period costume.

Around here we call them an assortment of things, but I never have known what the “real name” for them is.

Just wondering because me and my cousin are going to be in a costume class next week – she’ll ride my racing bred TB x QH as a jockey/race horse and I’ll be her “team mate” or “partner” as the people who lead out the race horse.

Thanks in advance.
Ok thanks. =]
A TB x QH is a Quarter Horse Appendix. They are completely registerable with the AQHA – mine is registered with AQHA – and are 100% able to race in Quarter Horse races.
His sire and dam are both registered QH with some TB lines.
He has some of the best QH racers in his bloodlines, and some of the best TB racers in his bloodlines – making him bred to race.

I call them lead ponies. Or outriders.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (DVD) Review

Nominated for 28 Emmys, including several for Outstanding Visual Effects, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine continues the rich tradition of the original 1960s Star Trek franchise. Created by former L.A. police officer Gene Roddenberry, the Star Trek TV series morphed into a franchise famous for the unprecedented fanatical devotion of its audience. Lasting only three seasons during its original network run, Star Trek struck gold with its syndicated reruns, launching a number of motion pictures featuring the original cast as well as novels, comic books, collectibles, and reams of Star Trek-related memorabilia. Following on the heels of Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), the first Star Trek series spin-off of the original, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine foreshadowed additional spin-offs – Star Trek: Voyager (1995), and Star Trek: Enterprise (2001). Sporting an entirely new cast and crew from its two predecessors, the show focuses on a particular system administered by the Federation instead of the usual Star Trek mission of “exploring strange new worlds”…

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine follows the exploits of the Starfleet crew aboard an abandoned and gutted Cardassian space station orbiting the planet of Bajor. In the aftermath of Cardassian occupation, the Bajorian government invited the Starfleet to oversee the reconstruction of the space station. Deep Space Nine quickly transformed into a teeming city of commerce and a hub for travel (similar to Babylon 5) thanks to the discovery of an unknown wormhole nearby. But the wormhole leads to the Gamma Quadrant, realm of the feared Dominion alliance, which views the wormhole travelers as a threat to its totalitarian grip on power. As such, the Dominion launches an attack against the Federation and its Klingon allies. The subsequent and ongoing war is the basis for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine…

Capt. Benjamin Sisko (Avery Brooks) is credited with discovering the wormhole, and he oversees the crew of Deep Space Nine as they wage battle to preserve the Federation. Ironically, his colleague, Constable Odo (Rene Auberjonois), is a Changeling – an alien race of “shapeshifters” who lead the Dominion’s united front. Together with the rest of the crew aboard Deep Space Nine, they struggle with internal and external conflicts that threaten to destroy their very way of life…

The Star Trek: Deep Space Nine DVD features a number of exciting episodes including the series premiere “Emissary” in which the recently abandoned Cardassian space station, Terok Nor, is resettled by the Federation at the request of the Bajorians. Capt. Benjamin Sisko takes command and his discovery of the first stable wormhole nearby, a wormhole worshipped by the Bajorians as a god, transforms Sisko into a prophet in the eyes of the Bajorians. Meanwhile, the audience meets the rest of the cast and crew for Deep Space Nine… Other notable episodes from Season 1 include “Move Along Home” in which Quark’s cheating prompts a group of aliens from Gamma Quadrant to exact revenge on the crew of Deep Space Nine, and “Dramatis Personae” in which an indwelling by aliens transforms Sisko and Kira into enemies of the crew…

Free Horse Racing Tips

Free Horse Racing Tips

If you hope to make money betting on horses, you need to be a better handicapper than the next guy. Handicapping is the art of looking at the odds and figuring out if a particular horse provides a good betting value. One of the ways to learn which horses have a better chance of winning is by taking advantage of free horse racing tips that are available online.

The first thing you should know about betting on horse racing is that the odds are based what’s called a parimutuel system. Unlike casino gambling, where you’re betting against house odds stacked against you, those who bet on horse races are playing against each other. Before the advent of parimutuel betting, horse race betting was the turf of bookmakers, or “Bookies”.

Under the Parimutuel system, you, and all the rest of the players, are betting against each other instead of the house. Once betting starts, the odds are determined by dividing the sum of all money bet by the amount of money bet on each horse in each category. The categories for betting on horses are win, place, show, exactas and so on; more on that later. The racetrack takes a percentage of the bets and taxes are deducted before the odds are calculated. The sum of deductions from the pool depends on the track and the type of bet. Most tracks take less from the win, place and show pools than from the exotic wagering pools for bets such as exactas, daily doubles and triples.

The simplest bet of all is the Straight bet, also known as the Single or Win bet. It is the simplest and most common type of bet. You get paid only if your horse is first across the finish line. Betting on your horse to Place means you win if your horse finishes either first or second. Show, on the other hand, means your horse can finish first, second or third. A trickier bet is the aptly-named exacta—you must pick the first and second place finishers. The Trifecta consists of picking the first, second and third place horses accurately. The trickiest bet to win, however, is the Superfecta, which consists of picking first, second, third and fourth place horses accurately!

There are other types of bets, too, such as the Quinela, called the Reverse Forecast in the UK. In a Quinela, a bet is placed on two horses but they must cross the finish line in the exact order chosen. The Daily Double is where you pick the winners of the first and second races of the day. The Jackpot is a bet wherein you pick six winners in six races. The rules and prizes will vary from track to track, however.
The Parlay, or Accumulator, is a multiple bet. It’s a kind of ‘let it ride’ bet. By making simultaneous selections on two or more races with the intention of putting the winnings of the first race onto the next one, and then repeating for all the bets. Once you know what kind of bets you want to place, you can seek free horse racing tips.

Horse with heaves: we are advised to give antihistamine – is this even the correct medication?

We were just given a wonderful mare – she does have heaves. She came with antihistamine medication and from what I have read and seen with with her so far, this may be senseless. Due to heavy work schedules, we are weekend warriors as I say, this mare will not be overused or abused, trail ridden primarily. My husband will rely on her for a walk; he is approx 225 lbs. I am wondering if I need different meds, wetting of hay or any other remedy. I don’t want to cause her any respiratory discomfort….are there effective meds or limits that I need to be aware of? All responses will be appreciated!

An antihistamine will help, as it blocks the mast cell response (allergic reaction) which is induced by organic dust particles inhaled by the horse. It is basically COPD (emphysema with chronic bronchitis). Adding an anti-inflammatory should help, too, by reducing the swelling in the airways.
Do a search on “equine heaves”, and read the following site ;

Surefire Ways to Win your Horse Trust

Horses are sensitive creatures and building a close bond between the horse and rider is an important aspect of riding. When horses have had a bad history with abusive owners in the past, it can be difficult for the horse to trust the new rider. However with time, you can still get the horse to trust you if you do spend time and effort to get to know the horse. In this way, it will be much easier to control the horse when it has confidence in you.

If your horse has never been mistreated but is skittish by virtue, it will also make it harder for the horse to have faith in you. All it takes is some time together. You need to think through how you wish to move towards him. Make sure you move slowly and approach the horse from the left. When approaching a horse with things in your hand, do put your hands in front of you to let him ascertain that there is nothing threatening with what you are holding.

Do not wear baggy outfits when you are moving close to a skittish horse. Your clothing could catch the wind and this can cause a disturbance that will cause the horse to be jumpy. Once they associate you with any kind of fear, it will take much longer for the horse to trust you at all. It is not a good thing if the horse moves or shies away from its owner over things.

It is never advised to force a horse to attempt and act it is not sure of. Do get your horse to have full confidence in you before even attempting to get him to do jumps or venture to strange terrain. Let him gain assurance in himself by trying easier obstacles and running down wide open courses. If he trips and regains his footing, it might make it that much harder for him to have faith in you while attempting it again and you will also doubt his abilities while attempting it again. So long as you know that each of you can trust the other, you will have a safe and successful ride.

If you have a horse that has been abused, it can be nearly impossible to gain the horses trust. You should not be demoralized, however. Plenty of horses have come back around after hours and hours of patience and love.

One good method to get close to a horse that has been mistreated is to spend time just chatting and being in his presence. Speak in a mellow and steady tone and carry treats with you. Do not attempt to ride the horse or force him to do things he is unwilling to try. Days can pass before he is no longer spooked by your presence. You can try to move closer to him if he is not bothered by your presence. A frightened horse is a very dangerous animal, so be sure that you do not corner him. Offer him a treat and try to stroke his muzzle. You will know that you are making headway when he is willing to take the treat from your palms!

If your horse allows you to pat him, you are close to success. Do not attempt to get on a horse that has been mistreated previously without the supervision of professional trainers who are skilled with dealing with such horses. You do not wish to be in the situation whereby you are on the back of a horse that only trusts you when you are on the ground, but not when you are on its back.

Living Large In The Land Of The Shire Draft Horse

The largest breed of draft horse in the world is the English Shire Horse, which originated in the central shires of England. Members of this breed have been recorded up to 23 hands high or 7.5 feet tall measured at the withers and weighing nearly 3 tons. The Shire has been known by many names, such as the Great Horse, Giant Horse of Lincolnshire, English Cart Horse, War Horse and Large Black English Horse.

The origin of the Shire breed is lost in the mists of antiquity, which is true for many breeds, but it is believed that it is a descendant of the Old English Black Horse whose ancestors were considered the ‘great horses’ during medieval times. During the period between the reign of Henry II in 1154 and that of Elizabeth in 1558, the British government was constantly seeking to increase the size and number of horses called the Great Horse because the weight of a horse soldier in armor was nearly 400 pounds. During the reign of King John, from 1199 to 1216, one hundred stallions of large stature were imported from Flanders, Holland, and it is from the blending of these animals with the English breeds some 800 years ago, that some strains of England’s heavy horses trace back to.

But the Shire Horse’s history in England is not that simple. A direct ancestry could not be determined until the mid to late 18th century and up to that point it is still sketchy. The earliest suggested ancestor was the English War Horse that was used for jousting and cavalry purposes, but although these horses had size they did not have the traditional characteristics of the Shire today. With the invention of gun powder, the War Horse was not as valuable to the army and the cavalry wanted smaller, faster horses to ride, so the Great Horse was now turned out to pasture and to work on the farms. Horses declined in numbers during this time, but farmers were still breeding the remaining animals for size. Many believe this is where the Shire was really bred from: the horses of the Flanders and the smaller black Friesians.

Eventually there was a need to organize the breed as its own, so in 1878 the English Cart Horse Society was formed. But it was not until 1880 that the first copy of the stud book was actually published with 376 entries. The Society changed its name to the Shire Horse Society (SHA) in 1884. The first Shire Horse Show was held in 1890 and the breed’s popularity soared. By 1905 there were 3781 entries in the stud book.

The Shire started out in Canada and the United States at roughly the same time. The new found popularity for the Shire was not only in England, but had spread to America. There had been importing of Shires since the mid- to late 1800’s. The information before 1850 is sketchy, but there was a stallion named Tamworth described as a Shire that was brought to Canada by British troops in 1836.

The creation and promotion of the English Shire registry in the U.S. was partly due to Americans wanting registered stock, and of course, they wanted to continue with keeping records once the horses arrived on American soil, as well as having the desire to improve the quality of the breed. Since it was in the best interest of the SHA to insure a quality animal in the U.S. in order to continue their exports and fill an ever-increasing demand, the British contributed funds to help organize the registry in the U.S. and in 1885, the American Shire Horse Association (ASHA) was incorporated. Therefore, there have been close ties and good relations between the Shire Horse Society in Britain and the American Shire Horse Association, much more so than with the other draft breed associations. However, in the late 1900’s, with limited knowledge and a spirit of independence, some of the American breeders appeared to resent those ties, so a continued effort for unity has been an ongoing topic of concern by the leadership of both associations.

Between 1900 and 1918 almost four thousand Shire Horses were imported to the United States, but when horses were replaced by cars, this led to a decline in demand for draft horses and then following World War II, this ancient horse was almost lost when the invention of the modern farm tractor nearly made the breed extinct. The low point came in 1950’s. The 1960’s saw a resurgence in the draft horse business as Americans rediscovered its usefulness. The Shire breed became so popular that in 1971 the National Brewing Company of Baltimore assembled an eight horse hitch of Shires for publicity purposes and traveled to two hundred and seventy-three parades between 1971 and 1973 promoting the company and the breed.

The Shire Horse is an animal of enormous size, standing from 16.2 and up to 19 hands or more, with 17.1 being average for the breed. The tallest horse on record is a Shire that stands approximately 23 hands at 4 years old, and he’s still growing. This behemoth weighs nearly 3000 pounds, but the average Shire horse tips the scale at a mere 2200 pounds, with mares and geldings being slightly less massive. The traditional Shire Horse today can be black, bay, brown, or grey in color. Any horse that is roan, chestnut or splashed with white is not considered to be a true Shire Horse.

The head of the Shire Horse is long, lean and masculine, neither too large nor too small with the nose being slightly Roman. It has a long, slightly arched neck with a good crest that is in proportion to the body and that gives the horse a commanding appearance. Geldings tend to have a thicker, masculine neck. The eyes are relatively large, wide-set and alert, with the ears being long, lean, sharp and sensitive. Shoulder should be deep, oblique, and wide enough to support a harness collar with the horse also being wide across the chest. The Shire Horse’s back is short, strong and muscular and should not be either dipped or roached and the body has a substantial barrel. The tail should be set well up and both head and tail should be carried erect. The legs are long and the abundant feathering should be fine, straight and silky. Mares may be slightly smaller with a feminine, matronly appearance and should have plenty of room to carry a foal.

When in motion, the Shire should move with force, using both knees and hocks, with the latter being kept close together. A 1-ton Shire is capable of moving a 5-ton load, yet it is one of the gentlest of horses.

Today the Shire horse is flourishing all over the world. There are approximately 3000 Shires in England and 1000 in the U.S. with the Canadian population at 130 horses and the popularity of the Shire has begun to grow again. The Shire is still one of the major breeds in Great Britain and will probably remain so for many years.

What were some of the Achievements of crazy horse as a war leader against european colonists?

Thanks xx

Crazy Horse was the war leader for the Sioux, Cheyenne, and the Arapaho at the Battle of the Little Big Horn River, 25 June 1876.

He had been a student of early warfare under the tutelage of Chief Red Cloud.

Added note: As others have pointed out, there were no colonists at the time of the westward expansion. They were American citizens.

Painting Artel Glasses

Artel is a glassmaking company based in prague that fuses czech glassmaking traditions with contemporary shapes. owner karen feldman designs elegant, whimsical motifs that are then hand-etched into the glassware on a made-to-order basis, producing pieces that are truly timeless and reflect a czech tradition alive since the 16th century. Named for a group of Bohemian artisans established in the early 1900s, Artel has taken this time-honored art and, working hand in hand with only the most highly skilled traditional craftspeople, company founder Feldman has created a collection of fresh, whimsical, yet elegant designs.

The quality of Bohemian crystal has been renowned for centuries. Now designer Karen Feldman is wowing the US, UK, Europe and Asia by breathing new life into a classic craft. This American company, using Czech expertise, is setting a new standard in an age-old industry.

Adhering to centuries of tradition, each piece by Artel is given the dedication and attention such luxurious items require. From mouth-blown molten crystal to finished, engraved pieces, the process can take days to complete. Feldman’s design innovation is winning new audiences with popular patterns such as Frutti di Mare, and a new line of hand-painted glassware is being unveiled using a process unique to Artel. “We will never, for the sake of faster or cheaper production, forgo the tried and true techniques the way other companies have.” Says Feldman.

A testament to Artel’s quality and appeal is its partnerships with such high-end retailers as Scully & Scully, Niemen Marcus and Harrods. Since the crystal is made the old-fashioned way, not knocked out by machines, each piece develops its own story. These are handmade creations that will last a lifetime, eventually becoming family heirlooms that grace the homes and tables of future generations, each on ea story in the making. This whimsical motif incorporates jellyfish, octopus, sea shells, sea horse, and starfish. Our collectors in Italy can’t get enough of it. A great choice for seaside homes or yachts.
Where can I find mold-blown Italian glassware?

I am looking for a drinking glass about the size of a large rocks glass or tumbler. The glass itself is thick and green in color. There should be a raised relief-type scene of horses pulling a chariot. I’ve done some research and determined that this is a type of Italian mold-blown glass sometimes called Roman glass, and this style is sometimes called a Sport cup. Despite finding this info, I haven’t been able to find anywhere I could buy anything like this. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a glass like this? I don’t care if it’s a reproduction or a fake. I am in the New York City area if anyone knows a store that sells glassware like this.
Please don’t suggest eBay. Don’t you think I tried that?

i would try ebay.com
