1/64 Farm Toys Can Be Fun

The most exciting toys for adults and kids alike are those designed like farm machinery or commonly used tools located on farms. 1/64 farm toys is probably the most popular scaling. We should not try to fit a real tractor into a typical room, so a scaled down version is the next best thing. Even though I am now an adult, I very clearly remember having a large collection of various toy tractors, pedal tractors, horse toys, and custom farm toys when I was young. These were most certainly my favorite type of toys. Yes, I had others, but they were never nearly as much fun to play around with. If you are interested in rekindling that childhood collection or providing one for your own children then I can be of much help. I will share with you some tips on collecting several types of farm toys. I hope you will find this information useful.

As I already mentioned, one of the most popular kinds is the 1/64 farm toys sizing. A large portion of my collection, from childhood and currently, would fit this label. You could call this a regular sizing in some respects. It is definitely a big seller. This goes for manufactured toys from massive companies and even the custom farm toys crafted by a local carpenter. It is not a terrible idea to own large toys, especially if you are after horse toys since those are always fun to rock on. But, you will want to make sure that you have a complete collection that includes the smaller kinds. These are typically displayed in cases or on shelves. They are also easier to keep tidy. The bigger toys can require extra maintenance depending on the materials used in construction. Wood is not so bad to maintain with the right oils, but metals can issue a challenge depending on the weather you typically have in your region. If your local climate tends to be humid and wet then your metals may have setbacks with rust and oxidation. You must buff them weekly in such a case. If your wooden toys are handled correctly during the creation procedures then the upkeep on them will require reduced effort as they will be resistant to most weather events. You should clean them regularly either way.

My childhood collection was comprised up mainly by John Deere collectibles. Many of them were 1/64 farm toys by scale, but I had some others that were made to be ridden by young ones as well. This includes a John Deere pedal tractor, a John Deere toy tractor, and a John Deere wagon. I have a lot of fantastic memories of using that wagon. It gave me the opportunity to have tons of fun with my imagination. I know most kids lately have technological gadgets instead of actual toys, but you would be amazed at how even they can enjoy hand held toys instead of the virtual kind. This particular brand is huge in farm related items. Even if you mostly want rare handmade toys, I would encourage you to also build up a John Deere collectibles section as well. Even if they are not your most expensive, you may find their value to be quite enormous in the future.

Furniture for children has come a long way during the years, which means you have several choices when it comes to choosing a rocking chair for your child. 2007 Concerts In Review: Money, Music, Madness

It’s been another tumultuous year in the music industry, a business that’s seeing significant challenges to virtually every aspect of its business model, and that needs the pressure of such change as much as a polar bear needs a heat lamp. With peer-to-peer downloading of music that seems unstoppable no matter how many companies get shut down, bad press generated by poorly conceived punitive lawsuits against said file sharers, declining CD sales, increasing failure among traditional music retail stores, and well-known artists like Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails striking out on their own and offering new releases online for free; it seems these days the music industry can’t catch a break.

But with all of this doom and gloom, the one positive for the industry in 2007 has been a relatively strong live concert market. Nostalgia has been the order of the day, with classic rock acts continuing to hit the road, their numbers bolstered by reuniting 80’s acts who’ve either got the itch as part of a midlife crisis, or who want to pad out their retirement income. Just look at the acts currently (week of November 20, 2007) holding the top fifteen spots on Pollstar’s Top 50 list of concert tours:

I count four reunions (five if you include Springsteen touring with the E Street Band), one lounge act trying to escape Las Vegas, and a couple of relatively current bands. The rest will definitely fit nicely under the “nostalgia” umbrella – not that Billy Joel or Elton John aren’t good or relevant, it’s just that their music isn’t what you’d typically expect a twenty year old to be rocking out to, as their first choice.

The numbers aren’t all in yet, but the grosses are looking pretty good. While their tour actually began in 2005, The Rolling Stones’ A Bigger Bang Tour wrapped up in the autumn of 2007 and made it into the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest-grossing concert tour in history. Just how big is that, you ask? They raked in $560,000,000 (US dollars) for the 144 dates they played. That’s right, over half a billion dollars; almost four million dollars per night. Not bad pocket money.

Before we get all star-eyed about the dough that’s being made hand over fist on touring though, there are a few reality checks to consider.

First of all, the record labels themselves seldom see any money from touring, so it’s not like the concert revenue is helping to make up for declining CD sales. The artists themselves can find touring a very lucrative business, although even they don’t typically see the bulk of the cash that’s collected at the gates. According to industry averages, an artist can expect to net as much as thirty-five percent of ticket prices and fifty percent of merchandise sales for a show. The bulk of the take goes to paying promoters, road crews, venues, ticket sellers, and anyone else who has any involvement in the planning, marketing, running, setting up or cleaning up after a show.

Complicating the equation is the fact that ticket sales themselves have actually been relatively flat; as a matter of fact, they have shown a slight decline in some recent years. But, ticket prices have continued to increase significantly, especially among bands whose audience demographic skews toward the older, wealthier listener. According to Rolling Stone, the average concert ticket cost under £18 in 1999, and in 2003 that had increased to over £24. An LA Times investigation determined that the average price had climbed to £30 for 2006, so clearly there is something more than simple inflationary pressure at work.

This key issue becomes the critical factor behind the ranking of top-grossing touring acts. Promoters charge what the market will bear, and a group with a history (like the Rolling Stones) or a significant pent-up demand due to a break-up (The Police) or tendency to have somewhat older fans (both The Rolling Stones and The Police) will allow the promoters to charge considerably higher ticket prices. So it’s no surprise that the mega acts like The Stones, U2 and The Police can manage to tour, consistently pulling off premium ticket prices at multiple dates and ending up topping the concert charts, even though they may not have released a new CD in over twenty years.

Looking at numbers supplied by Pollstar (note: these have been rounded), you can easily see that relationship. In the 2005 concert year, the top concert gross list displayed what has become a familiar pattern: domination by nostalgia and classic rock acts, with the top five spots being held by The Rolling Stones, U2, Celine Dion, Paul McCartney, and The Eagles. Okay, Celine Dion is an odd one, but you can attribute that to gamblers in Las Vegas with more money than they know what to do with and a healthy bar tab.

The Rolling Stones captured the top spot by earning £80 million with an average ticket price of £65. U2 came in second, grossing £68 million with an average ticket price of £49. Look for a contemporary act on the top twenty list and you can find Coldplay in seventeenth spot, grossing £11 million with an average ticket price of a much more modest £19; Green Day hit number 12 with £17 million on £18 tickets. See the pattern? Even if Green Day or their promoters tried for the big payday at this point, would there be enough “kids” willing to shell out £49 for tickets? Would they attract enough baby boomers to make up for the shortfall? I doubt it.

The relatively lower grosses don’t mean other acts aren’t doing well touring, it simply means they aren’t playing as many gigs to as many fans, or they’re not charging nearly as much for tickets. They can do quite well, just not well enough to make the big early retirement pay cheque.

So now we’ve established that 2007 has been a pretty good year to be a touring rock band and gotten the financial nonsense out of the way, which shows have actually been getting the buzz?

The Police rank up there pretty highly. At first people watched with morbid curiosity, half expecting the old tensions to resurface and end with Sting and Stewart Copeland beating the hell out of each other on stage – come on, admit it, you were hoping it would all go down at the show you saw. Despite a slightly rough start, showing the band was clearly out of practice after all these years; they quickly found their groove and played to sold out shows and excellent reviews. The critics were happy, and the fans couldn’t buy tickets fast enough.

Rage Against The Machine was another of the most anticipated reunion acts, especially among the younger alternative rock set. The comic soap opera that has been Van Halen and David Lee Roth settled down enough to actually hit the road in 2007. Genesis reformed – at least the Phil Collins-led version of Genesis. Canadian progressive rockers Rush toured in support of their Snakes & Arrows CD. The Rock the Mic tour brought Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott together for a series of over 30 shows. According to Forbes magazine, the Dixie Chicks took less than a week to sell over £22 million in ticket sales for 57 shows.

For the pre-teen and (possibly early teen) set, Disney’s Hannah Montana has been “rocking” sold out venues everywhere. Another reunion of sorts, The Smashing Pumpkins, were also back in 2007, along with veterans Gordon Lightfoot, Van Morrison, John Fogerty, Rod Stewart, Roger Waters, Bob Dylan and Neil Young who all toured. Even occasionally befuddled rocker Ozzy Osborne has started out with Rob Zombie. Bon Jovi is selling tickets in a big way with favourable reviews, and old new wavers (is that a contradiction in terms?) Duran Duran and The Cure were on the road. Justin Timberlake got his groove on and Dane Cook proved that stand-up comics could sell out arenas too. Not to be left out in the cold by classic rockers and reunion acts, Incubus, Tool, Foo Fighters, Avril Lavigne, Mr. Avril Lavigne’s band (Sum 41), Korn, Modest Mouse, Jimmy Eat World, Fallout Boy, Cake, Avenged Sevenfold, Band of Horses and Arcade Fire, all made representations for the alternative rock crowd.

So how is 2008 shaping up in terms of concerts? Obviously we can’t predict too much at this stage, but I will be willing to throw this one out: tickets are going to continue to rise in price at a rate greater than inflation and the biggest grossing acts will once again be ageing rockers, with the ultimate combination of rocker and reunion topping the list. If the chemistry was right for their reunion concert in December, and if Robert Plant and Jimmy Page don’t end up in fisticuffs, it just might be that Led Zeppelin may commit to a tour, and if that happens look for them to be at the top of the list by this time next year. But coming back full circle to the problem record labels are having with declining CD sales, mega group and thorn-in-the-labels-side, artists’ rights champions Radiohead are also planning a 2008 world tour. Don’t count them out either.

It’s bound to be an interesting year.

Very streetable! Too bad you didn’t consider getting the LT4 conversion, with the heads and the revised intake – you would have picked up something like 60 horsepower.

My skull-dyno would put you around 340 horsepower minimum to 375 depending on whether you have that cylinder head work done well, and you’re putting a decent set of headers on the thing. Better yet is the torque curve you’ll get – nice and flat.

A true antique rocking horse can cost thousands of dollars, but how old are they, and how can you tell the real from the fake?

In Europe, bow rocking horses were made from around 1750 and rocking horses on a swing stand were made from around 1880. The dates are similar for the US.

An antique rocking horse from Europe is very different than one from America. The American ones are often called ‘folk art’ antique rocking horses. The designs are simple and the manes and tails are usually made of horsehair. If there are saddles and reins left they will be leather. Some were painted and some were polished or left natural.

European antique rocking horses, especially British ones, mostly date from approximately 1870-1920. Again, the manes and tails were made of hair, and the tack was leather, often fixed by brass fastenings. They were usually painted. They do not often have a manufacturers name on but some do, and the three biggest manufacturers were Collinsons (1836-1993), F H Ayres (19th Century and early 20th Century) and Tri-Ang Lines, who also made hide covered rocking horses.

So how do you know the horse you are looking at is an antique rocking horse? First, it’ll look old! But be careful! Old can be faked. You need to know where to look. First, look at the delicate parts of the horse – ears, bottom of the face, around the eyes and the legs. Most importantly, look at the seat. An antique rocking horse should have signs of wear, not only in the paintwork, but also worn wood in the places the saddle has rubbed. Also, the reins may have rubbed around the neck.

Secondly, the tack. On an antique rocking horse this is almost always leather. A carved and painted saddle is unusual on a true antique rocking horse. Make sure the leather is worn. Again, especially look at the saddle seat. A European one will probably have brass studding on it to fix it, but this is not always the case. Nails and other metal fixings can be artificially rusted so be careful.

Thirdly, the mane and tail on an antique rocking horse will almost always have been real horse or cow hair. If you find one with a carved mane, it is probably newer than you thought.

There are some very excellent companies who make reproduction rocking horses and these should not be confused with a fake antique rocking horse. If you do your research, check some pictures on the internet, and buy from a known dealer you should not have any problem and will enjoy your antique rocking horse.

The Continued Importance of Stuffed Toys

Some people may be under the false impression that, since plush animals are not the hot toy of the month, that they are no longer relevant. Maybe you have considered getting a stuffed toy as a gift for a friend or relative, but decided on something else because you thought that the stuffed animal wasn’t practical, or that the recipient had outgrown them. Why should you select a plush animal as a gift?

There are many good reasons to choose a plush toy as a present. They can be comforting, meaningful, and symbolic of the important relationships and events of a person’s life. Maybe you need to be reminded of why they are such classic and timeless gifts, and appropriate for all ages and personality types. Here’s why they are important to three age groups: children, teenagers, and adults.

Importance to Children

A child can never have too many stuffed animals. Plush toys come in an incredible number of varieties and kids love collecting the different types. They could always find room for a few more. The stuffed animal is a wonderful symbol of the innocence of childhood. They are soft, cuddly, and lovable. Just remember the story of The Velveteen Rabbit. Each of us probably has fond memories from childhood of our favorite plush toy. They are great for bedtime, and a comforted child is less likely to have bad dreams, or will forget their nightmares more quickly with the security of their stuffed friend.

The people who think that the stuffed animal is not the hot toy haven’t been keeping up with how little girls are accessorizing these days. Plush toys are still very much in vogue!

Importance to Teenagers

You may think that teenagers are too old for toys, but many of them would disagree. Besides, stuffed animals are more than just a toy. They can be as comforting to a teenager as to a child, as well as a great decoration for a bedroom or dorm. Many teenage girls collect stuffed toys, not only from their childhood, but from more recent years, as well. A good plush animal can be a memento or keepsake. Many girls have a favorite plush toy given to them by a boyfriend because he knew her favorite animal. If she is crazy about horses, maybe he gave her a plush horse. Or maybe she is attached to the stuffed bear that her father gave her for her college dorm room or first apartment.

Teenage boys can enjoy a quality plush animal as much as girls. They can serve as a reminder of a great accomplishment, such as that stuffed tiger or lion that they received after winning the big game. A plush toy that matches their sports mascot is always a great gift. Or maybe they have a stuffed bear that they won at the fair by pitching softballs or shooting water guns. Teenage boys can relate to such animals as a souvenir of their prowess and accomplishments.

Importance to Adults

Finally, plush animals are also appropriate for most adults, though for somewhat different reasons. Many adults use stuffed animals as decorative items around the house. The best animals for adults are natural-looking, realistically colored plush figures. They can add the same personal touch to a décor that a figurine or other piece of art would. For instance, a stuffed dolphin or whale can liven up a vacation home at the beach. A vacation cabin in the mountains can be decorated with a mountain lion or black bear. Dog lovers can display a Cocker Spaniel, Collie, or Golden Retriever in plush form to help them relax at home. Adults love to collect things, and a stuffed animal collection can be quite rewarding. Not only can plush animals be decorative, they can also be nostalgic. Quite a few adults still have and display a plush toy from many years ago due to its value as a keepsake of years past. My mother still displays the plush cat that my father gave her when they were dating.

Stuffed animals will never go out of style and are popular with all age groups. They are important and symbolic on numerous levels. They make great gifts and can carry many meanings!

That Dora the Explorer could use a little more common sense in the presentation!? I mean come on! My daughters have this one video in which there are horses running towards Dora and Boots and all they do is say stop and then look in her backpack (that takes forever, because they do not speed it up!) for something. If that was real life (henceforth the common sense complaint!) you’d move you butt outta the way not stand there and piddle-fart through you backpack that has things no kid should be carrying on a daily basis anyway! (She carried matches once!! and had no adult with her!) I bug the crap outta my wife when I complain about this!! LOL I love it!

Oh I agree! My daughter actually did learn some Spanish from watching the show, but there are several situations like the one you provided where ACTION would be the first and foremost in real life, but Dora and Boots are rummaging in her backpack or encouraging the at-home audience to speak at the tv in Spanish in order to avert the impending disaster.

The one we banned our daughter from watching (she’s now 5) is Angelina Ballerina. In almost every show she does something naughty, lies and whines through the entire episode, and in the end when she comes clean everyone laughs at how silly she is. Are you kidding? Choosing Horse Rugs the Easy Way

The range of horse rugs available in the market is vast. Making a choice can be a daunting task to a new horse owner.

Having a variety of rugs in different weights allows for the variations in our climate. It is distressing for a horse to sweat under a thick rug or to have too little protection from the cold and rain.

• New Zealand rugs Once the only Turnout rug available. They are made from a thick canvas material that is waxed to provide some shower proofing; they can be re-waxed. They are practically indestructible as they are so strong and many owners swear by them for all-year-round use.

• Heavyweight Turnout Rugs are designed for use in the winter, particularly on fine breed horses or those that have been clipped. Lots of turnout rugs are now made of breathable material.

• Fleeces now come in lovely bright colours, designs and are very versatile. They can be worn as light stable rug, travel rug or under a turnout or stable rug for additional warmth.

There are combination rugs available in the market which you can use outdoor and indoor. They are made of breathable material which will absorb the moisture.

Flectalon and Thinsulate material helps to retain the body warmth of the horse. Nylon is a very important ingredient in most horse rugs and it is chemically treated to make it breathable. Extra care should be taken to make sure nylon used does not cause excessive friction on the horses.
The rule of the thumb is , a stabled horse needs warmed rugs compared to a outdoor active horse. Often neck covers can be separately purchased to give that extra warmth to the horse. The new innovations in the horse rug industry are waterproof, magnetic and holistic rugs.

Performance
For safety reasons, rugs are not designed to with stand extreme pressure. So fabric will rip on sharp protrusions and tear when trodden on, or if legs become entangled in straps. Better for the rug to give than the horse’s legs!

For horses or ponies that have problems with the rug slipping off backwards, there are rugs with smaller necks, high necks or raised necklines for a better fit

How to Generate Best-Selling Ideas For Your Book or Novel

There’s nothing mysterious about coming up with ideas for your book. Within a page or two, you’ll have more ideas than you know what to do with. Your ideas start with YOU. When you think about what you enjoy, about your past experiences and your knowledge, you’re guaranteed a regular fountain of ideas. Let’s turn on the fountain.

1. Idea Generator One: What Are You Good At?

Make a list of 20 things you’re good at. Don’t think too hard about this. Maybe you’re good at buying presents for people-you’ve got a knack for choosing just the right gift. Maybe you’re a good cook, or a good parent, or a good swimmer or a good tennis player. Or maybe you used to be good at one or more of these things. For example: I grew up with horses, and owned horses for many years. I’m good with horses, and a good rider. If I saw a gap in the market for a horse book, I’d feel comfortable writing the book.

You get the idea. List at least 20 things that you’re good at, or have been good at in the past. For example, if you know you’re an excellent gardener, even though you now live an apartment, list “gardening.”

2. Idea Generator Two: Tap into Your Past Experiences

Experiences sell. If you’ve been abducted by little green men from Mars, it’s a book. If you’re a bigamist, it’s a book. People have written books about their illnesses (see from challenge to opportunity below), their addictions, and their pets. Browse through the bestseller lists to see what personal experiences people are writing about.

Here’s where you walk down memory lane. If you’re in your twenties, it’ll be a short stroll. If you’re in your forties or older, it will be a hike. Don’t get bogged down with this, list 20 experiences you’ve had that spring to mind.

The easiest way to come up with experiences is to work backwards through the stages of your life, or through decades. Again, don’t take a long time over this. Set yourself a time limit — ten minutes is enough.

3. Idea Generator Three: Tap into Your Knowledge

What do you know? Start by making a list of all the subjects you were good at in school. Then list all the jobs you’ve had – yes, part time work counts.

Also list:

Your hobbies. Are you a keen Chihuahua breeder? Do you quilt? Take photographs?

Your current job. What are you learning in your job that other people would pay to learn?

The places you’ve lived. Your hometown may be boring to you, but guide books sell well.

Your family tree. What special knowledge do your nearest and dearest have that you could write about?

Spend around ten minutes writing down as many subjects as you have knowledge about.

4. Idea Generator Four: What Do You Enjoy Most in Life?

Celebrity chef Nigella Lawson freely admits that she cooks because she loves to eat. Nigella has turned her love of food into a career. She regularly produces bestselling books. (Her chocolate recipes are brilliant.) What do you love? People have written about garage sales, cosmetics, cars, vacations. If you love something, chances are that thousands or maybe millions of others will love it too.

Watch the newspapers and take note of current trends. Or better yet, listen to what your children are talking about, or asking you to buy for them. Children tend to be well up on what’s happening.

Remember that it will take around 5-8 months for your book to reach the bookstores. Therefore, the currently hot topics on the bestselling lists may be old news before your book is in the stores. This doesn’t mean, of course, that you can’t write on perennial favorites like money, sex and exercise. These topics never go out of popularity, and a new twist on one of these is always a sure bet.

The idea of writing about what you enjoy is that you will be bringing passion and enthusiasm to your topic. Enthusiasm is a must.

5. Idea Generator Five: From Challenge to Opportunity

You face challenges every day. Most are minor, some are major challenges. If you’ve ever faced a large challenge, or if you’re facing one right now, then consider that the things you learn could help other people. Whatever your challenge is — whether it’s moving house or confronting a life-threatening illness — other people face the same challenges, and in those challenges lie the seeds of books.

Make a list of 20 challenges you’ve faced in your life. Anything catastrophic qualifies: losing your job, facing bankruptcy, the betrayal of a spouse. If you’ve had a quiet life, then make a list of challenges that the people you know have faced.

Additional challenges you can consider include any habit you’ve broken, from congenital lateness to overeating.

When you’ve finished brainstorming, you’ll have dozens of book ideas. Winnow out the non-starters. Don’t delete them, move them to another computer file. Call it “odds and ends” or “snippets.”

Planning Kid-Friendly Vacations

I know. When you did that wild tour through Europe after college graduation, you never dreamed you’d be lugging kids on a family vacation a mere ten years later. But here you are facing the daunting task of planning a family vacation during which no homicides or accidental deaths will take place. Great family vacations exist but they require some wise and careful planning. Here are a few tips that should help. 

1.   Attitude is important. If you’re walking around irritated, mean, and stressed out, your kids are likely to catch the same feelings. It’s simply the nature of life on this planet for things to go wrong. Expect it and see it as only another obstacle to overcome in your great travel quest. If a crisis, small or large, develops, let one adult work on solving the problem while the other keeps the kids happy. I repeat, do not panic. 

2.   Be prepared. Baby wipes are invaluable, even with older kids, to wipe up messes. Bring a small container of mild laundry detergent to wash out clothing stains in the hotel sink. There are a hundred uses for Ziploc bags of various sizes. Bring medications of your choice such as children’s Tylenol, cough syrup, pepto bismol, or prescribed meds. If you don’t mind using Benadryl, it can be useful in enabling the kids to sleep while traveling. Choose toys that tend to keep kids engrossed for long periods in a limited space. Also, bring crayons, non-messy markers, and coloring books or paper. Bring books the kids can read or that you can read to them. If possible, bring some great kids’ audio books or a miniature video player. 

3.   A peaceful journey. If possible, consider the kids’ schedule when planning the trip. Plan the trip so that an hour or two into it the kids’ naptime arrives. That can give you at least an hour or so of peace. Even better, if you don’t mind the red-eye, book your travel or plan to drive overnight so that the kids will sleep most of the way. As you may know, amazingly light and compact strollers are available. So if you have toddlers, bringing a stroller can be an incredible time saver and prevent you from pulling out whatever hair is left on your head. 

4.   Resign yourself to the fact that family vacations must be designed, not primarily for you, but for the kids. Until the kids grow up, your chief satisfaction on vacations may be to enjoy the excitement and fun your kids are having. So forget the boring museums, art galleries, cathedrals, quaint architecture, majestic landscapes. These will have your kids either bored stiff or wailing within minutes. If you do a little research, you’ll be amazed at how many kid’s attractions there are besides Disney World. I’ll save the long list for a future article but here’s a short list of kid-friendly activities from two cities on opposite coasts. New York’s Central Park: Horse-drawn carriage rides, Heckscher Playground, lake boating, Swedish Cottage Marionette Theater, Central Park Zoo/Tisch Children’s Zoo, Belvedere Castle Nature Center. San Francisco: Hands-on Bay Area Discovery Museum, Zeum Museum for kids, Hershey Factory, Morris Planetarium, Underwater World, San Francisco Zoo, and Alcatraz. 

5.   As your kids grow older, even young teens will hate trooping around everywhere with their younger sibs. Try to take vacations that have attractions for both younger and older kids. Also, you may want to choose a well-behaved friend of your older child to come along. Believe it or not, one vacation that sometimes has programs for both younger and older kids is cruise lines. Check out the different cruise lines. Some of the programs are quite good and keep kids busy for large chunks of the day.

 If planned well, family vacations can produce some of the greatest memories and the funnest times of all. Hope this article helps to that end.

I know that they don’t use any electricity and they use horse and buggies to get around instead of cars. They shun the modern world basically and the women have to wear dresses and bonnets and the men wear suits. The kids go to a one room school house and work on the farm.
